Saint Valentine was the fourth Bishop of Strasbourg, a see in the region of Alsace in Gaul, during the fourth century. He stands within the early episcopal succession of the city, listed after Saints Amandus, Justinus, and Maximinus, and before Solarius and the better-known Saints Arbogast and Florentius.
Because the historical record for the earliest bishops of Strasbourg is sparse, almost nothing of Valentine's life beyond his office and his place in the line of bishops has survived. As a hierarch of the undivided Church before the schism, he is commemorated on September 2.

Strasbourg's episcopal succession is documented only loosely for its earliest centuries; precise dates for individual bishops do not become available until around the year 700.
